NASA's 1976 Identity Guidelines Publication
Tim George, apparently, has an awesome mentor. An ex-tutor from his college days owns an original copy of the NASA 1976 Identity Guidelines and was kind enough to photocopy the brand book for Tim. The guide documents the year they re-branded to the "worm" logo and demonstrates proper usage throughout the organization.
Tim photographed various spreads, a number of which I've shared below. To see the rest, visit his flickr set. He says to keep in mind that the original brand guide is a rich, full-color publication (like the lead image), but his copies are just black and white scans. I'm sure if you had an extra full-color original just laying around, he would be happy to take it off your hands.
